THE NAME — BLACK VITRIOL

BlackVitriol was built on principles of precision, depth, discipline, and transformation.

Black represents the standard we hold ourselves to: uncompromising, exact, and deliberate. It reflects distinction, sophistication, and the refusal to offer generic solutions in complex markets.

Vitriol carries a deeper philosophical meaning.

The name originates from V.I.T.R.I.O.L., an ancient Latin acronym historically associated with alchemical and Masonic traditions, traditions that have significantly influenced the intellectual and professional formation of our founder, Gabriel Jiménez Vargas, who has been part of the Masonic community in Colombia for nearly a decade.

The acronym stands for:

"Visit the interior of the earth, and by refining what you discover there, you will uncover the hidden stone."
 

Historically, the “hidden stone” symbolizes transformation: the process of converting raw potential into something of enduring and irreplaceable value.
